Software Engineer Corestone SAP




About the solution


Organizations use the Serrala Corestone for SAP solution suite to automate the process of archiving data and documents in their online SAP systems and retaining it in cost-effective archive repositories. The solutions help organizations reduce the volume of information in online systems, so they can benefit from: 

  • Lower operating cost for existing systems
  • Faster system back up and maintenance windows
  • Simpler transition to new platforms such as SAP S/4HANA
  • Easier access to information for audit responses and other queries  
  • Ongoing compliance with data privacy and security regulations


Your tasks


As SAP Software Engineer you will design, develop, and deliver high quality modules that exceed customers' expectations.

- Requirement Analysis:

Drives clarity on requirements and identifies and communicates dependencies. Participates in solutioning/designing (e.g. produces and owns technical design documentation, performing impact analysis).

- Solutioning/Designing:

Creates design stories/proof of concept (POC) by applying design patterns/deployment knowledge and performing technical analysis.

- Execution Excellence

Sizes user stories into development (sub-) tasks, sets up tentative timelines and identifies and seeks guidance on dependencies.

Writes clean, efficient and secure code as per defined standards in a timely manner which is ready for production based on the expertise of his/her respective coding language, maintains relevant documentation and executes and reviews acceptance criteria before handing over to QA.

- Business Agility

Participate actively in agile development framework by actively participating in all agile ceremonies. Document in Jira as per defined definitions (DOR, DOD).

- Collaboration

Collaborate actively with team members (seek and offer support when needed, actively learn from knowledge sharing, listen respectfully).

- Learning & Partnering

completes all required training and mentoring sessions. Seeks out and acts upon feedback from team members. Takes responsibility for own development, learns via self-study, and participates in team / department / company initiatives.


Your profile


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable;

- 4+ years of work experience with ABAP-OO;

- Solid experience with the implementation of SAP ArchiveLink Objects;

- Fluent in English, German Level >=B2 is an advantage;

- Knowledge of product development lifecycle including coding standards, quality KPIs and acceptance criteria, testing theory;

- Experienced with the implementation of SAP UI5 Freestyle Apps, FIORI Design Principles, TypeScript, test automation frameworks;

- Familiar with SAP Data and Document Management concepts, Content Repositories.

- Basic knowledge of SAP-FI module, GDPR principles.
