About the role: 

At our location in Berlin, we develop sophisticated, data protection-compliant healthcare software solutions for university hospitals, research institutes and pharmaceutical companies in addition to our finance solutions. 

In close cooperation with our customers, we are working on certified biobank technology, national online registry solutions, and internationally used platforms to support clinical studies or large data collection and analysis. 

Your Day to Day:  

• Achieving goals together: You work daily on the development and enhancement of software applications in healthcare (e.g. clinics, research institutes, pharmaceutical companies) based on Java and Spring. 

• End-to-End: You're involved throughout the entire development process—from conception and implementation to testing and deployment of the software. 

• Analytical skills: You're responsible for the structured collection and evaluation of requirements as well as the creation of technical concepts. 

• Innovation: Enjoy working with innovations? Great! Because your tasks also include contributing to and introducing new technologies. 

What makes you excel in this position:  

• Solid background: You have a degree or training in computer science, business informatics, or a similar field.  

• Extensive professional experience: You have at least three years of hands-on experience in Java development and have already gained initial experience with microservices. 

• Tech stack: Ideally, you also bring experience in the following areas: Hibernate, Java, web-services JPA, databases (e.g. Oracle), GitLab CI. 

• Your work style: You take a structured and methodical approach to the design and implementation of software modules, as well as a collaborative approach with your team and stakeholders.  

• Communication: You are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level).
