Meet the Team: The IT Specialist Infrastructure plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. They  work closely with the IT team to implement automation and streamline processes, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Your day to day:

• Proactively researches and locates necessary tools to identify and avert troublesome trends as they develop.
• Ensures the stable performance of IT infrastructure (private and public clouds) through monitoring technologies.
•  Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade hybrid cloud infrastructure and systems.
•  Acts as a escalation for resolving of hybrid cloud infrastructure related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Recommends improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for automation and develop scripts or workflows to streamline IT processes, reducing manual intervention. Implement automation tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and scalability.
•  Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members for reference.

What makes you excel in this position:

• Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field (Beneficial).
• You are a strong communicator and like to actively share good ideas. You are an ambitious self-starter, who likes to keep on developing. As a self-starting professional you can work well under minimal supervision. You will be part of a motivated Team with an innovative mind-set.
•  Experience working in hybrid environments (private and public clouds).
• Public Cloud environments: Azure, AWS. - Linux Knowledge: Debian, RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.
• Scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, etc.
•  Orchestration and automation: Ansible, Puppet, Chef or PowerShell DSC would be highly beneficial. Printer-Management (beneficial).
• You come with a strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices. Experience in implementing ITIL methodologies to enhance system performance, incident management, and service delivery is essential.
