About the role: 

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for creating, scaling, and driving a centralized procurement/purchasing function to optimize Serrala’s global end-to-end sourcing operations. The successful candidate will appraise and improve our sourcing activities, analyze Serrala’s spending, examine existing supplier arrangements, and evaluate new vendor and partnership opportunities.

Core duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Global Procurement Standardization & Optimization
    • Create an end-end globally defined procurement framework by understanding the business need, budget allocation, RFP processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation/execution, and vendor onboarding.
    • Implement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify specifications, and expectations, and streamline contract closure to optimize total cost of ownership and operational effectiveness.
  • Vendor Negotiations & Agreement Optimization
    • Negotiate advantageous terms with new vendors, finalize purchase details, and manage supply contracts.
    • Review & optimize existing partner and vendor agreements including renegotiating with existing partners and vendors to secure more advantageous terms and/or reduced risks.
    • Work closely with the business leaders and finance teams to reduce the number of vendors to a narrow group of world-class, trusted partners.
    • Identify ineffective agreements and proactively lead the selection or renegotiation of mission-critical contracts to enhance effectiveness.
  • Reporting / KPI
    • Track and report key metrics for expense reduction, risk assessment, and operational improvement, collaborating with Finance for enhanced transactions.
    • Anticipate and strategize control measures for potential risks through data analysis while providing proactive procurement trend dashboards.
    • Conduct business reviews with stakeholders, implement savings plans transparently, and set benchmarks for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  

What makes you excel in this position: 

  • Background: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or Leader of a Procurement process for a mid-size company.
  • Procurement: Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market.
  • SAP S4/HANA: Experience with SAP S4/HANA is a huge plus.
  • Analytical: You are an expert in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrative negotiating, persuasion, and networking experience. Besides that you are experienced in giving presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Taking the Lead: You bring strong leadership skills and are accustomed to make data-driven decisions.
