The Role
We are looking for a controller to join our Finance team in a role with broad responsibility across financial planning, revenue analysis and business partnering. You will work closely with department heads and the Executive Board, providing the analysis and planning support they need to run the business well.
We are a private equity-backed B2B SaaS company. Finance plays an active role in how the business is managed, and we expect the person in this position to engage with the business, not just report on it.
Responsibilities
- Preparing forecasts, management reports and ad-hoc analyses for senior stakeholders, including regular presentation to C-level.
- Supporting the annual planning and reforecast cycles in close coordination with the relevant business units.
- Leading the month-end close process for a defined scope, ensuring reporting quality meets the expectations of management and shareholders.
- Managing global sales controlling, including commission calculations, in close collaboration with Sales leadership.
- Analysing the performance of our Professional Services business -- covering utilisation rates, project margins and revenue recognition -- and working with the PS team on the findings.
- Contributing to project controlling and strategic finance initiatives as the company grows.
Your Profile
- Relevant experience in controlling, FP&A or a comparable analytical finance role.
- Strong Excel skills -- confident building models independently and working with large, complex datasets; ideally experience working with Analytics and BI tools (ideally Qlik)
- Experience in a B2B SaaS or technology business is an advantage; familiarity with metrics such as ARR, NRR, CAC and churn is a plus.
- Clear communicator, comfortable presenting analysis to senior stakeholders and engaging directly with business leads.
- Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver reliably under time pressure.
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system is helpful.
What We Offer
You will be part of a small controlling team with direct exposure to senior leadership and a remit that covers both operational and strategic topics. The role offers genuine responsibility from the start and room to grow alongside the business.
