Meet the Team:
You’ll join the Site Reliability Engineering team, ensuring the global availability of Serrala products. With team members across three regions and five time zones, we cover 22 out of 24 business hours.
Your focus will be on providing resilient, cost-effective infrastructure for over 150 customers and nearly 500 virtual machines.
Your Day to Day:
- You’ll be responsible for IT infrastructure operations, including OS, databases, DR, cloud billing, reservations, and optimizing cloud consumption for Azure, back-end systems, and external sources. Your tasks will include:
- Supporting developer engineering teams with infrastructure provisioning
- Solving complex cloud infrastructure and developer operations challenges
- Enhancing and managing networking components, firewalls, and intrusion prevention tools
- Monitoring and administering backups for data resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Managing infrastructure-related incidents escalated from the customer experience team
- Developing documentation and enhancing knowledge management for client and internal systems
- Supporting the security engineering team with cyber defense tools to detect and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring infrastructure compliance with standards
What makes you excel in this position:
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or other IAC tools.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts, preferably Azure, and an understanding of networking concepts and public cloud.
- Experience with SFTP.
- Scalable networking technologies, and web standards (e.g., REST APIs, web security) is important.
- Proficiency in Powershell, Bash, and YAML scripting, with a passion for automation, and
- Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Jenkins).
- System administration skills in Windows, Linux, or Unix, with knowledge of IT security practices (e.g., encryption, certificates, key management, patch management).
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based architectures is a plus. Understanding of open-source server software (e.g., NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch) is beneficial, as is proficiency with monitoring tools like Icinga, Kibana, Grafana.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, and knowledge of frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, CIS Control, or ISO27001, is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential.
