Tasks and accountabilities

  • Define, implement, and continuously improve the QA automation strategy for FS²AP and FS³AP.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts.Automate UI, API, integration, smoke, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Maintain and extend existing Tricentis Tosca automation and ensure continuity of the current automated test landscape.
  • Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and the overall software development and release process.
  • Increase automated test coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing activities.
  • Introduce and evaluate AI-assisted testing approaches for test-case generation, script creation, maintenance, defect analysis, and regression optimization.
  • Create and maintain automated regression suites for product releases and maintenance deliveries.
  • Analyse test failures and defects, identify root causes, and provide clear and reproducible technical evidence to development teams.
  • Support release validation and quality assurance by ensuring critical business scenarios are covered by reliable automated tests.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Functional Consultants, and QA Engineers to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and required test coverage.
  • Support testing of SAP-integrated applications and business processes, including interfaces, APIs, and end-to-end process flows.
  • Maintain test documentation, test results, defect records, and traceability in Jira, Zephyr, or comparable tools.
  • Monitor automation results and provide meaningful quality metrics, test reports, and release-readiness information.
  • Identify testing gaps, automation opportunities, and areas where quality engineering can be improved.
  • Promote QA automation standards, reusable components, best practices, and continuous quality improvement across FS²AP and FS³AP.
  • Support the wider development organization in adopting automation-driven and AI-assisted quality engineering practices.

 

Technical/ professional qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts.Proven experience with Tricentis Tosca or a comparable enterprise test-automation platform.
  • Strong knowledge of UI, API, integration, smoke, regression, and end-to-end test automation.
  • Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
  • Good programming or scripting skills in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and modern software development processes.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted testing tools and approaches, including test-case generation, script creation, test maintenance, defect analysis, and regression optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, test design, defect management, test reporting, and release validation.
  • Experience working with Jira, Zephyr, or comparable test-management and defect-tracking tools.
  • Practical SAP experience is required, preferably with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience testing SAP-integrated applications, interfaces, APIs, OData, REST/SOAP services, or Fiori applications is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP FI/MM, Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, or Purchase-to-Pay processes is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with FS²AP or FS³AP is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical and functional defects.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex enterprise applications and business processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Functional Consultants, and Product Owners.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, for technical documentation, defect reporting, and collaboration within international teams.
