Your task:

  • Your work matters: You will support the Data Protection Team in developing, implementing, reviewing and maintaining data protection and privacy practices: from internal compliance to product development and information life cycle management;
  • Cross-sectional: You will also be closely cooperating with the Legal & Compliance team in client communications and contracts, as well as supporting discussions with our Sales organization;
  • Multi-disciplinary team: Data Protection is part of the larger Legal & Compliance team and you will get to work with multiple departments and global teams and gain a comprehensive overview of how Serrala and our products work;
  • Hands-on mentality: You are enthusiastic about understanding existing procedures and keen on sharing your perspective with the goal of improving Serrala’s practices
  • Strategy: You will also support product development, review our training matrix and the design of tailor-made curricula for different business units involved in data processing, as well as support the Data Protection Team in providing advice to stakeholders and customers.

 

 

Your profile:

  • Background: You are enrolled at a university in Germany and are studying with a focus on law, compliance, cybersecurity or IT (or a comparable course of study) and have an interest in data protection.
  • Experience: While not mandatory, already having knowledge on data protection or privacy in general or experience with performing compliance assessments would be a plus. But if you are curious and keen on learning, despite not having prior experience, please do apply (!)
  • Personality: You are curious and able to explain complex items.  You are goal-oriented, reliable, and can carry out your tasks with a good level of independence. Very good skills in English and good skills in German.
  • Privacy-oriented: You recognize the value of data protection and privacy and want to develop your knowledge of its practical applications in day-to-day life;
  • Last but not least: You can support us up to 20 hours per week.
